Recycling center to collect, recycle Christmas trees Published Dec. 7, 2010 Nellis Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- The base recycling center, located in Building 461, will be accepting Christmas trees without ornaments Dec. 26 to Jan. 16 to be chipped and used as landscaping filler throughout the valley. As a member of the Christmas Tree Recycling Committee, chaired by the Springs Preserve, Nellis has helped recycle approximately 80,000 Christmas trees since 2001.
