Nellis shows gratitude to December volunteer of the month Published Jan. 25, 2011 Nellis Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Col. Steven Garland, 99th Air Base Wing commander, presents a coin and a certificate of appreciation to Cari Pocklington Jan. 18 at the American Red Cross Branch Office. The Southern Nevada Chapter American Red Cross Nellis AFB Branch Office nominated Ms. Pocklington to be the December volunteer of the month because of her continuous effort to help run base events and to assist other people. The Airman and Family Readiness Center organizes the volunteer program for the base. Anyone interested in volunteering in the local community should call the A&FRC at 652-3327.
