57th Wing recognizes its annual award winners

The 57th Wing leadership recently announced its award winners for 2010 at a banquet held Jan. 21.

The awards recognize Airmen and civilians in the 57th Wing who have performed exceedingly well in the workplace and have made outstanding contributions to the local community over the past year.

The keynote speaker for the event was U.S. Rep. Joe Heck of Nevada. Congressman Heck is a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and commands a Medical Readiness Support Group. He is also a member of the House Armed Services Committee.

57th Wing Company Grade Officer of the Year:

57th Wing Field Grade Officer of the Year:
Maj. Mark D. Howard, USAF Weapons School

57th Wing Nonrated Flight Commander of the Year:
Maj. Mary K. Schultz, 57th Adversary Tactics Group

57th Wing Rated Flight Commander of the Year:
Maj. Lawrence T. Sullivan, USAF Weapons School

57th Wing Nonrated Instructor of the Year:
Capt. Chandler P. Atwood, USAF Weapons School

57th Wing Rated Instructor of the Year:
Maj. Kurt C. Helphinstine, USAF Weapons School

57th Wing Civilian Specialist of the Year:
