Brig. Gen. David Thompson, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center vice commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Robert Sealey, USAFWC command chief, hosted the 2010 Warfare Center Annual Awards Banquet, March 25, at the Grand Lux Café in the Palazzo Resort and Casino.

Every year, the Warfare Center commander treats the winners of the annual awards to dinner and a show to express his appreciation for the commitment to excellence each one showed to the Warfare Center and the overall Air Force mission.

"The men and women here are the future of not only the Warfare Center, but the entire Air Force," General Thompson said. "Their commitment to excellence reflects brightly not only on themselves as award winners, but the Airmen who they work alongside to help mold them into some of the best ambassadors in the Air Force."

Following the dinner, the winners were treated to the show "Jersey Boys," and, afterwards, they were able to meet and ask questions to the main cast.

"It was a privilege to be able to attend the event," said Senior Airman Ulla Stromberg, 99th Medical Operations specialist and USAFWC Airman of the Year. "It's not every year you get to eat dinner with so many outstanding people and enjoy a show with the general afterward."

The Warfare Center mission is operational testing, tactics development and advanced training in air, space and cyberspace. It also oversees the operations of the 53rd Wing, 57th Wing, 98th Range Wing, 99th Air Base Wing, and the 505th Command and Control Wing, and is responsible for 10,000 service members in 20 states.
