Chen Bingde, chief of the general staff of the People's Liberation Army, is welcomed to Nellis Air Force Base by Maj. Gen. James W. "Bill" Hyatt, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center commander, during a visit here May 20. The Nellis event was part of a week-long official visit to the United States arranged by General Chen's U.S. counterpart, Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
