Nellis brings home three A1 awards

The deputy chief of staff for manpower, personnel and services, or A1, recently announced two Nellis Airmen and service program as winners of the 2010 Manpower, Personnel and Services Annual Awards.

Winners of the Major Command annual awards were selected for submission to the Pentagon to compete at the Air Force level. The 99th Air Base Wing was among the Air Force level winners as the 2010 Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Program of the year.

"This award reflects the dedication that the members of our Sexual Response and Prevention Office have given to ensuring Nellis offices have a safe work environment," said Lisa Surette, Sexual Assault Response coordinator.

Two Airmen from the 926th Reserve Group here were also selected as award winners. Capt. Myla Abejuela, 926 Force Support Squadron personnel officer, was the winner of Force Support Company Grade Officer of the Year and Master Sgt. Brian Marr, 926th FSS personnel NCO in charge, won Personnel Senior NCO of the Year at the installation level.

Winners of the 2010 Manpower, personnel and services annual awards will be recognized at a ceremony to be determined at a later date.
