Nellis dentists sweep competition Published Aug. 4, 2011 Nellis Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- 99th Dental Squadron advanced education of general dentistry residents and dental assistants won first, second, third and honorary mention in a table clinic competition held May 12-14, 2011, during the California Dental Association annual meeting in Anaheim, Calif. Each year, more than 30,000 people from the dental community attend the CDA's annual meeting, which includes table clinic competitions where presenters conduct research and make table clinics of relevant topics. This year, Maj. Gen. Gerard Caron, Air Force Dental Services assistant surgeon general and 79th Medical Wing commander, attended the annual meeting to discuss the status of the dental corps and to meet with all the Air Force table clinic presenters.
