ACC recognizes Nellis, Creech and NTTR with awards Published Oct. 4, 2011 By 1st Lt. Laura Balch Nellis Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Air Combat Command recognized units located within Nellis, Creech, and the Nevada Test and Training Range with a variety of awards Sept. 7, 2011. The U.S. Air Force Warfare Center and two of its units were awarded the Air Force Organizational Excellence Award. Units falling under the 99th Air Base Wing here at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., and the 432nd Wing at Creech AFB, Nev., were awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. Both awards are given to units who have exceptional meritorious achievement or service for a given time period. The Nellis Awards and Decorations office is in the process of updating the records for service members who are still stationed here and at Creech AFB. Service members who have since moved away will need to obtain a copy of the award orders and present it to their new Awards and Decorations office in order to have their records updated. Below is the list of USAFWC units that have been given the AF Organizational Excellence Award. All Airmen who served in one of these units between the stated time frames qualify for the award: -United States Air Force Warfare Center (June 1, 2009 - May 31, 2011) -561st Joint Tactics Squadron (June 1, 2009 - Dec. 8, 2010) -Coalition Irregular Warfare Center (June 1, 2009 - Feb. 14, 2010) Below is the list of Nellis AFB units that have been given the AF Outstanding Unit Award.
