The Satellite Pharmacy is undergoing construction, which began Oct. 17, 2011, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

The purpose of the construction, which is expected to last approximately four months, is to increase service to the Satellite Pharmacy customers.

"As the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital transitions to a medical center, expansion of our services are needed to better serve the growing population at Nellis Air Force Base," said Tech. Sgt. Jaime Molinar, 99th Medical Support Squadron Satellite Pharmacy NCO in charge. "This new construction will improve our Satellite Pharmacy by enabling patrons to pick-up their medication faster."

During this construction project, the existing one lane drive-through will be redesigned and expanded to three lanes with an additional exit lane. This redesign will also include adding an overhang above the pick-up windows and improving the signs around the pharmacy.

Despite the construction, the Satellite Pharmacy will remain open during its normal business hours, which are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. All medications will be available for pick-up inside the pharmacy.
