Military Spouse Appreciation Day Published May 15, 2012 By Airman 1st Class Jason Couillard 99th Air Base Wing Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Nellis Air Force Base held a Military Spouse Appreciation Day event May 11 to recognize the contribution of military spouses. The event, hosted at the Nellis Club, included kiosks from base helping and support agencies, informative briefs, demonstrations and performances. Highlights included a Zumba aerobics course, free massages, Polynesian dancers, a Tae Kwon Do martial arts demonstration and prize giveaways. Brig. Gen. select Steven Garland, 99th Air Base Wing commander, said the contribution of military spouses is invaluable to the Air Force mission, and thanked them for the support they provide to Airmen daily.
