Memorial service for Airman set

A memorial service for an Airman who died in a motorcycle accident is schedule for 2 p.m. Sept. 28 at the chapel.

Senior Airman Jimmy Rivera, 22, 823rd Maintenance Squadron weapons load-crew member, from Pasadena, Calif., died at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Sept. 23.

"This is a tragic accident, and I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends and coworkers of Airman Rivera," said Maj. Kimberly Grover, 823rd MXS commander. "Dealing with his loss will take time, and we need to support each other through the grieving process. Airmen are the number one asset the Air Force has, and I would ask that people keep safety foremost in their minds at all times."

He is survived by his mother, a sister and three brothers.
