The Nellis Pediatrics Clinic will be hosting its annual school and sports physicals for children ages 6-17 at the Family Medicine Clinic through the month of August.

Not only will they be offering physicals, but immunizations will also be administered in the same appointment. For all other health concerns or issues a separate additional appointment must be made.

"A lot of children are required to have physicals and immunizations for school, especially if they are going to a new school or playing a sport," said 1st Lt. Nancy Branch, 99th Medical Operations Squadron pediatric nurse manager.

Parents and legal guardians must make an appointment for their child's sports physical by calling 653-CARE (2273).

"[The adult] accompanying the child needs to be the parent or legal guardian," said Tech. Sgt. Ann Stanford, 99th MDOS Pediatrics flight chief. "If they are not, they need to bring a current power of attorney to the appointment."

The Pediatrics Clinic has teamed up with the Family Medicine Residency and Family Health Clinics in the main hospital to conduct the appointments.

For more information on sports physicals call the Pediatrics Clinic at (702) 653-2273.
