Nellis Tax Center offers help with tax preparation

The Nellis Tax Center will open Jan. 30, 2014, at the Desert Oasis Lounge at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Free tax advice and assistance will be provided to active-duty service members, retirees and families possessing a valid military identification card. The tax center will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. until Feb. 3 when the hours change from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursdays. This schedule will remain in effect until April 15, the final day to file income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service. No appointments are necessary, only walk-ins will be taken.
