Airmen keep runway free of FOD

Staff Sgt. Quentin Jackson, 57th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controller, looks for debris on the flightline during a foreign object debris walk Sept. 14, 2012, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Airmen from the 57th Wing conducted the FOD walk to ensure debris from nearby construction of new hangars didn't fall onto the taxiway. FOD checks are conducted to minimize the amount of debris to help ensure the safety of aircraft and personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Christopher Hubenthal)
