RED FLAG-NELLIS IMAGE GALLERY

Diamond Sharp

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Brandy Walker, 99th Civil Engineer Squadron first sergeant, presents the Diamond Sharp Award to Senior Airman Andrew Higginbotham, 99th Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment and pavements journeyman, as members of the first sergeants council look on Oct. 12, 2012, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The Nellis First Sergeant's Diamond Sharp Award is designed to recognize individuals who truly stand out with abilities and character traits above and beyond the average Airman. Higginbotham volunteered for the Nevada state railroad, placed 120 tons of decorative rock, 80 tons of base course, and 476 linear feet of railroad ties, all in one day and recently received the “CE Hard Charger” award by leadership.
