U.S. Air Force Warfare Center
The U. S. Air Force Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., reports directly to the Air Combat Command. The Center was founded Sept. 1, 1966, as the U.S. Air Force Tactical Fighter Weapons Center. It was later renamed the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center October 2005.

The USAFWC exists to ensure deployed forces are well trained and well equipped to conduct integrated combat operations. From our testing and tactics development programs to our training schools and venues, we provide our Airmen with proven and tested technology, the most current tactics, superb training and a unique opportunity to practice integrated force employment. To execute its mission, the USAFWC oversees the operations of five wings and two named units: the 57th Wing99th Air Base Wingthe Nevada Test and Training Rangeand the Air Force Joint Test Program Office at Nellis AFB, Nev.; the 53rd Wing and 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing at Eglin AFBFlorida; the 505th Command and Control Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The USAFWC is comprised of approximately 13,000 personnel, active duty, guard, reserve and civilians.
