U.S. Airmen line up to order lunch from a food truck in the munitions area at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), Nevada, May 21, 2025. Nellis became the first base in the Department of the Air Force to formally authorize food trucks to operate within explosive hazard zones, following months of coordination with leadership, weapons safety experts, legal advisors and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service—improving the quality of life for hundreds of Airmen on the east side of the installation.
