NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- U.S. Air Force aircrafts assigned to the 57th and 53rd Wing take off and land at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, July 7, 2026. The 6th Weapons Squadron, assigned to the USAF Weapons School, specializes in advanced training for F-35A Lightning II pilots and instructors. The 64th Aggressor Squadron replicates enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures to train and challenge U.S. and allied aircrews, sharpening combat readiness and ensuring air dominance. The 17th Weapons Squadron specializes in graduate-level advanced tactics training for F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews. The 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron performs operational testing for fighter aircraft and munitions used by Air Combat Command.
