Welcome to the U.S. Air Force's 1st new Family Medicine Residency in 30 years! Fulfilling the vision to expand the number of Air Force Family Physicians, Mike O'Callaghan Federal Medical Center (a joint VA/Air Force medical center) has stood up an unopposed training program located 20 minutes northeast of Las Vegas, with large civilian hospital training opportunities nearby to augment learning.
Drawing upon the expertise from award-winning staff who have taught at civilian and AF programs, we have a constructed a resident friendly program with a heavy emphasis on education, not scutwork. We have a large common resident bullpen work area with space for rotating students, an adjacent 50 person conference room and multiple small group education and procedure rooms.
