NELLIS AFB, Nev. -- An F-16CJ from Misawa Air Base, Japan, patrols the skies looking for enemy anti-aircraft missile sites during exercise Red Flag Aug. 23. The exercise takes place over the sprawling Nevada test and Training Range, which offers more than 1,600 bombale targets and a fully integrated air defense system that keeps pilots on their toes.
