Nellis, Creech Airmen raise American Flag during Las Vegas Bowl

Over a 150 Airmen from Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases volunteered to hold the flag during the playing of the national anthem before the start of the bowl game.

The Las Vegas Bowl featured the Houston Cougars facing off against the San Diego State Aztecs.

The oversized American flag weighed nearly one thousand pounds and needed over 150 Airmen to hold.

The 25th Las Vegas Bowl saw Mountain West champion San Diego State rally by scoring 34 unanswered points to defeat Houston, 34-10.
