Nellis delivers Las Vegas' first baby of new decade

Nellis Air Force Base delivered the Las Vegas Valley's first baby of the New Year and the new decade here Jan. 1.
Weighing in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 19.25-inches long, Alexis Gavin, daughter of U.S. Army Capt. Ryan Gavin and his wife Dianna, was born at Nellis' Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital at 12:30 a.m.
