Saints fly with Thunderbirds

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La.--Lt. Col. Derek Routt, operations officer for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds," describes the features of the F-16D to New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees prior to an orientation flight April 23. Selected as the most valuable player during the 2010 Super Bowl, Mr. Brees and the team's Cornerback, Jabari Greer, had the opportunity to meet with Airmen and their families and fly with the Thunderbirds while the squadron was visting Barksdale Air Force Base to perform in the Defenders of Liberty Air Show April 24-25. Thunderbirds fly into 2010 season

The Thunderbirds are scheduled to fly 73 shows throughout the U.S. and Canada this year, and will be on the road approximately 250 days from March to November.
