NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev.-- The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds perform the missing man formation during the repatriation and funeral service for Major Russell C. Goodman. Maj. Goodman served as the narrator for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds from 1964-65 and was declared Missing-In-Action after his aircraft was hit by a surface-to-air missile in Feb. 1967, while on a combat mission over North Vietnam.

Nellis Air Force Base Open House
NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev.-- The United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron Thunderbirds position to approach Nellis during the 2009 Aviation Nation Nellis Open House Nov. 14. The Nellis Open House is an opportunity for the Las Vegas community to view aerial demonstrations and static displays of various aircraft from the military. The open house also acts as the final air show of the year for the Thunderbirds.
