Dental students from University of Nevada Las Vegas, College of Southern Nevada, and 99th Dental Squadron dental hygienists provide dental cleanings to Las Vegas residents Feb. 11th, 2012 during Give Kids A Smile at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dentistry. Give Kids A Smile is a national event where dental organizations, including the 99th Dental Squadron, screen and provide education to children in need of dental services. The 99th DS, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., gives back to the community by participating in the event annually and screened approximately 200 children this year. Air Force Assistance Fund

U.S. Air Force Col. Steven Garland, 99th Air Base Wing commander, signs the official proclamation kicking off the Air Force Assistance Fund campaign for the installation Jan. 26, 2012, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The AFAF is an annual campaign to raise funds for four charitable affiliates that provide support to Air Force families in need. In 2011, Nellis AFB, Creech AFB, and Nevada Test and Training Range Airmen, retirees and families received more support from these four organizations than any other installation across the Air Force, totaling more than $726,000 in much appreciated aid.
