Jacob Brittingham the 563 Rescue Group Det 1 flight commander, at McCarran International airport Nov. 4. Sergeant Aguilera returned to Las Vegas and Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., after spending the past four months at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas recovering from injuries he received during an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crash in southwest Afghanistan June 9, 2010 which killed five and left two Airmen in critical condition. NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Col. Michael Gantt, 53d Wing commander, awards Staff Sgt. Christian Corella, 88th Test and Evaluation Squadron aerial gunner, for being an outstanding performer under the Stripes to Exceptional Performers (STEP) program at Nellis Oct. 21. Staff Sgt. Corella played a crucial part in the 23rd Wing disaster response team in New Orleans, Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
