CDOS 2014 comes to an end

Many people view the Labor Day weekend as the end of summer and a last chance to travel, hit Lake Mead, fire up the grill or indulge in their favorite outdoor activity. No matter what activities Airmen choose to partake in during the long weekend, safety is paramount. During the 2014 Critical Days of Summer campaign, which runs from Memorial Day weekend through the end of Labor Day weekend, there have been 38 mishaps in the Nellis community – down from 52 during the 2013 CDOS campaign. To ensure Nellis does not reach the mishap total from last year, the Nellis community is asked to please reflect on the slogan for this year’s campaign: “Risk: Double checks, not second thoughts” as the importance of risk management during all off-duty activities is vital.
