8/22/2012 - NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Military members assigned to Nellis and Creech AFB have new reasons to become club members while current members are about to see their benefits expand.
Nellis AFB has 739 current club members which accounts for about 10.3 percent of the military population assigned.
Membership dues will increase but members have not seen an increase in dues at Nellis in approximately eight to 10 years, said Juan Conde, The Club general manager. Conde said their primary goal is to bring back "Value in Membership"!
Membership dues range from $2 to $20 with Creech AFB members paying half the normal due fees.
"With the increase we are giving more bang for the buck, and you get more value while supporting your club," said Mr. Conde.
Benefits offered at Nellis include:
- $25 in coupons when club membership is transferred to Nellis
- $1 off any meal at Nellis Clubs and Rickenbackers for bills of $5 or more
- $1 off a round of Skeet/Trap or $4 off Sporting Clays at the Rod and Gun Club
- 10% off personal functions at the Clubs
- 5% off nightly fee at Desert Eagle RV Park
- 10% off purchases at Arts and Crafts
- A chance to win thousands of dollars in scholarships
Members receive discounts not only at The Club, but also at Rickenbackers, the Time Out sports lounge, and several other Force Support Squadron Facilities.
The Time Out sports lounge now has new hours of operation that went into effect 20 Aug 12: Monday - Thursday, 4 to 9 p.m.; Friday 4 p.m. to midnight. During the NFL Preseason, the lounge will be open for televised games. Call the club at 652-9188 for more details. Begining Sept. 8, the lounge will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays to broadcast both college and NFL Games. and Saturdays and Sundays closed.
The Time Out sports lounge is a fantastic place to be for football season Conde said. With the luxury of having the Direct TV NFL Ticket, football aficionados can watch several games simultaneously on the 18 televisions throughout the lounge.
There is no charge to come in and watch, the club just hopes you take advantage of the great menu and beverage line-up while watching the game Conde said. Gather a group of your friends, wear your favorite team jerseys and cheer your team on to victory.
Conde speaks to each Right Start group giving newly assigned personnel information on transferring membership from a previous location or answering questions from personnel interested in joining the club.
Some new things to look for at The Club in the coming weeks include social hour, Membership Nights, Kids' Membership Night, Sunday brunches and weekday breakfast.
