11/22/2011 - RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFNS) -- Air Force officials selected 487 of 2,201 eligible senior master sergeants for promotion to chief master sergeant, for a selection rate of 22.13 percent.

Of the 487 selected, seven are currently stationed here at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. They are:

Senior Master Sgt. Bradley Behling, 99th Force Support Squadron
Senior Master Sgt. Mckinney Crawford, 763rd Maintenance Squadron
Senior Master Sgt. Matthew Gray, 99th Civil Engineer Squadron
Senior Master Sgt. Bruce Kimball, U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron
Senior Master Sgt. Ileathear Maxwell, 99th Medical Operations Squadron
Senior Master Sgt. Anthony Smith, 57th Maintenance Group
Senior Master Sgt. Scottie Spradlin, 820th RED HORSE Squadron

The average score for those selected was 659.88, with an average time in grade of 3.09 years and time in service of 22.85 years respectively. The average score was based on the following point averages: 134.98 for enlisted performance reports, 24.39 for decorations, 68.38 for the Air Force supervisory exam and 383.12 board score.

The entire chief master sergeant promotion list was released Nov. 3, 2011, on the Air Force Personnel Center's website ( and on the Air Force Personnel Services website (

Those selected for chief master sergeant will be promoted according to their promotion sequence number beginning in January 2012.
