Night operation the rule, not the exception

F-15 Eagles and F-16 Fighting Falcons await night missions at Nellis Air Force, Nev., Oct 19. The Red Flag exercise ended flying operations Oct. 20. The U.S. Air Force Weapons School continues to ramp up its training flights as it prepares for the integration and mission employment phases in November and early December. The next Green Flag exercise begins Nov. 2, which sees Air Force fighters and bombers supporting large-scale Army training at Fort Irwin, Calif. The next Red Flag exercises in January and February will feature the first appearance of the F-22A Raptor in the world's most realistic large-force aerial combat training.
