Nellis personnel administered the base’s first round of COVID-19 vaccinations on Dec. 23 at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center.

The Department of Defense distributed the vaccine to several initial sites as part of Operation Warp Speed, which is the nation’s initiative to safely and efficiently vaccinate the American public.

Nellis will administer the vaccine using a phased approach to ensure first responders, mission-essential personnel, deploying forces and individuals with serious illnesses are among the first to receive the vaccine.

Video B-roll featuring Nellis’ first vaccinations and vaccination line are available for download and use via the Nellis AFB DVIDS page at https://www.dvidshub.net/unit/NAFB.

Also, photos and a written article regarding the event have been published on the official Nellis website at https://www.nellis.af.mil/News/Article/2456563/nellis-administers-initialcovid-19-vaccine/.
