U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Chad P. Franks, 15th Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sergeant Benjamin W. Hedden, 15th Air Force command chief, visited Nellis and Creech Air Force bases Jan. 6-14 to meet with Airmen.

The 15th Air Force activated at Shaw AFB in South Carolina in August 2020. With the activation, a handful of units at Nellis and Creech became assigned to the 15th.

During their inaugural visit, they congratulated Airmen for their outstanding work and met with senior leadership to discuss the issues and topics that may require 15th Air Force to advocate on their behalf.

During his tour, Franks visited the 85th Rescue Squadron, the 855th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 66th Rescue Squadron, where he previously resided as a commander.
